Jeremy Renner was ‘run over’ by 14,330-pound snowplow, says sheriff

Jeremy Renner was “run over” by an “extremely large piece of snow-removal equipment” weighing “at least 14,3330 pounds,” according to local authorities.

Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said during a press conference Tuesday that the actor’s PistenBully was “stuck” when the “Hawkeye” star attempted to “retrieve” the snowcat and “get [it] moving.”

Although the 51-year-old was “successful,” he was off of the machinery and “speaking to a family member” when the PistenBully subsequently “started to roll.”

The sheriff explained, “In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempt[ed] to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner [was] run over.”

Renner was airlifted to a hospital where he underwent surgery, according to TMZ.

The “Town” star, who suffered “blunt chest trauma” among other injuries, gave a glimpse of his wounds on Tuesday when he posted a hospital selfie via Instagram.

“Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏,” he wrote. “Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Renner’s fellow Marvel franchise members shared their support in the comments.

“Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!” Chris Hemsworth wrote, while Chris Evans called his co-star “tough as nails.”

Chris Pratt added, “Continued prayers your way brutha.”

Renner has lived in his remote mansion near Reno for nearly a decade, telling Men’s Health in November 2021 that his home “isn’t a horse ranch [but] … more of a horsepower ranch.”

The Golden Globe nominee shares custody of daughter Ava, 9, with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.
