Joe Gorga claims his wife, Melissa Gorga, was given a hard time by nearly every member of his family when she first became a part of it.

“My mother was rough on her, my dad was rough on her,” the Bravolebrity, 43, said Friday during a live taping of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, before sarcastically adding, “and my sister was great!”

Joe then went on to praise Melissa, also 43, telling hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real at the Tri-State Cadillac-sponsored event, “She’s a good woman and then she married into an old-school Italian family and she took a beating — she did.”

He added, “And that’s why I respect her and love her because you know what, she’s the best.”

Melissa and Joe have been married since 2008 and they share three kids: Antonia, Gino and Joey.

The Bravo stars’ tumultuous relationship with Joe’s sister, Teresa Giudice, has been shown on several seasons of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

“BUT THIS ALL PROVES MY POINT EVEN MORE!!!” Melissa continued.

“She did not reply to the text messages I sent after we filmed the reunion!! CRICKETS!!! It wasn’t until three weeks later, and after the reunion AIRED – she was getting all the backlash about how poorly she treated her brother and I – that THEN she felt the need to reach out and clean it up.”

The ladies have battled it out on screen since the “On Display” singer made her debut on Bravo show during Season 3.

At the time, Teresa accused Melissa of joining the show behind her back and also claimed the “Love Italian Style” author was a gold-digger.

“When I hear her call me pretty much a gold digger, it’s like putting a knife in my heart and twisting it, because I know that she knows that’s not true,” Melissa told E! News in 2011.

However, last summer, Joe and Melissa skipped out on attending Teresa’s nuptials with Luis Ruelas. An insider clarified to Page Six at the time, though, that “they were invited.”

New episodes of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast are released Thursdays.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
