Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban Launches Bizarre $20 Million Lawsuit Against Sauce Company

Kim Kardashian’s close friend Jonathan Cheban is looking to make a huge profit after filing a $20 million lawsuit against a Korean sauce company for damages after he cut his hand on one of their glass bottles.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Miami-Dade County on Friday, August 25, claims that on October 19, 2020, Jonathan purchased a bottle of San-J’s Korean barbecue sauce from Milam’s supermarket at 17100 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.

Upon returning to his Bal Harbour apartment, the television personality, who legally changed his name to Foodgod in 2019, stored the product in the refrigerator. Several hours later, when he attempted to open the bottle for dinner, it mysteriously exploded, according to the allegations in legal documents.

Following the accident, Jonathan influencer says he’s suffering in the longer-term, asserting that he continues to experience nerve damage and persistent pain. Despite the unfortunate incident, the 49-year-old also claims to have missed out on job opportunities, even though his Instagram page remains active with various promotions.

“The glass broke in several shards with the main portion of the bottle slicing open his hand causing significant blood loss,” the filing claims, and included a photo of Jonathan’s injuries for evidence.

“Foodgod is required to seek therapy and to alter the way he handles items during videos and advertisements while also fighting through the pain and discomfort,” the documents go on. “These injuries will likely affect Foodgod for the rest of his life.”

The list of defendants in this case encompasses a wide range of parties, including San-J International sauce company and Milam’s, as well as the glass manufacturers (Ardagh) and distributors (KeHe).

Born in the Soviet Union, Jonathan has built a $9 million net worth as a businessman and entrepreneur. His prominent association lies with the Kardashian sisters, as he is a close friend and a regular presence on their reality television series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, are more recently, their Hulu show The Kardashians.

Cheban extended his television appearances to include shows like Kourtney and Kim Take New York, “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons. In 2010, he ventured into his own reality television series, The Spin Crowd, which featured Cheban and his colleagues but was discontinued after a single season due to low viewership. In 2013, he made an appearance as a single participant on the seventh season of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker and briefly featured on Celebrity Big Brother.
