Lidl shoppers are rushing to buy 'bargain' Christmas decoration | The Sun

LIDL shoppers are rushing to buy a popular Christmas decoration to deck their halls.

Christmas is just 25 days away, and households are already decorating for the festivities.

Shoppers are flocking to Lidl after a member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargaining Facebook page posted about a "bargain" pre-lit garland.

The shopper said: "Thank you to whoever recommended the £12.99 pre-lit garland from Lidl.

"I have not added anything to it because I quite like it plain. What a bargain."

Other shoppers were impressed and quick to respond with one saying "that would look lovely with my new wreath," and another who said they were "shocked at how long it was."

"That's so cheap I want one," said another shopper.

And you can buy the Lidl Livarno Home LED Christmas Garland for£12.99 down the middle aisle.

The supermarket described the garland as perfect for windows, mantelpieces or bannisters.

But some shoppers have gone the extra mile and used it as a surround for their front doors creating a festive showpiece.

It's long at 15 metres and it comes with 80 energy-saving LEDs, as well as a six-hour timer with automatic repetition.

You can choose from either warm white or cool white lights to create the perfect festive atmosphere in your home.

The budget supermarket says the garland is perfect for indoor and outdoor use.

You can find your nearest Lidl using the store locator tool on its website.

But remember, Lidl doesn't offer home delivery or click-and-collect services.

And the product is only available while stocks last, so you might find that your closest store doesn't have the garland in stock.

If you are thinking of buying the Christmas garland, it's also worth having a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

For example, found a eucalyptus green-lit garland online at Dunelm for £10 – but it was a few meters shorter than Lidl's version.

We also found a similar one on sale at Amazon for £9.99, but this was also shorter.

Don't forget that you'll have to pay for delivery on top, how much that is, depends on how much you order and who you buy the item from.
