Amy Hart has revealed what Love Island contestants do when they need to shave in the villa, as razors are considered to be "weapons".

The 29 year old appeared on the hit ITV2 dating show back in 2019, and after the 2022 series got underway she's been busy answering questions from fans on social media about life in the famous villa.

Having recently revealed all about make-up and napping rules on the show, as well as what happens when Islanders need to use the toilet, Amy has now opened up about shaving in the villa.

The blonde beauty shared a video on TikTok explaining how razors are classed as "weapons" and must be requested by contestants when they want to shave.

“Obviously the showers have got the frosted panels across the middle because you just had to shave in there, obviously you couldn’t wait to have a wax," the former Love Island star explained.

She went on to add that she "actually prefers" to shave her legs instead of getting them waxed, but it appears that gaining access to a razor in the villa could be difficult at times.

“Also, because razors are classed as ‘weapons’, you weren’t allowed them in your bag. You had to go and ask for them, they got taken off you before you went in and then you’d have to ask for them back," Amy revealed.

Amy's latest villa revelation comes after she recently explained what happens when contestants need to use the toilet in villa, as man viewers were concerned that producers could hear them as are have to wear their mics at all times.

The 29 year old revealed that someone turns off Islanders' mics when they go into the toilet, and it's strictly limited to one person at a time.

"They have someone watching and when you go into the toilet, they turn your mic off," Amy explained.

"But it's only one person in the toilet at any time. There is a camera in the toilet, but it is a security camera and it only gets looked at if something happened and they needed it."

She continued by saying how producers would only look at the security footage had something happened to an Islander while they were in the toilet.

Contestants are also not allowed to "nap inside" during the daytime Amy revealed, saying: “You can nap in the afternoons outside. You can’t go inside for a nap but you can nap outside.”
