The new season is approaching and something we're leaving behind and not taking into the new year is long and heavy hair. Experts are predicting a just-below-the-jaw cut revolution and we are here for it, ready to embrace the short hair comeback.
We're already seeing the switch happening before our eyes with plenty of celebrities ditching their long locks for shorter, strategically messy hairdos.
We've witnessed Hailey Bieber causing a TikTok frenzy when she recently decided to go shorter, while closer-to-home stars like Louise Redknapp have also opted for a chic, above-the-shoulder cut for a shorter and fresher look.
The last one to choose a big chop is Chloe Burrows, who made quite the change from her long wavy hair to an on-trend shorter do.
The former Love Island contestant underwent quite the transformation from the style she was rocking while participating in the seventh series of the ITV2 show in 2021. She said goodbye to her waist-long Barbie-like wavy hair and hello to a blonder blunt bob inspired by Victoria Beckham's glorious Posh Spice days.
She took the reveal on Instagram and her followers surely appreciated the new look as she gathered over 70k likes and many enthusiastic comments.
"Just LOVE you with a boberina x", her fellow Love Islander Millie Court said, with people highly requesting matching bobs for the two.
"You and miss bob are GLOWING", was the comment that former Gogglebox star Joe Baggs left under the chic do reveal to which Chloe responded: "love you sexy".
In her caption, which reads "The bob is BACK thanks to @lukerobertshair at @hadleyyatessalon using @wearethehairsociety stennies for thickness x", she thanks the salon and the hairdresser for their job also highlighting the brand of extension that her professional team used on her for balancing volume and thickness in her new short style.
Luke Roberts, Chloe's hairstylist and artist at the Hadley Yates Salon spilled the tea about the transformation: "Over the last few months, we’ve gradually taken Chloe’s hair shorter and blonder, and we decided to really go for it this time with a full head of baby-lights and a very sleek and blunt, above-the-shoulder bob. We also used The Hair Society tape extensions through the back for added fullness and to create more dimension".
The hair expert also gave us a tip on how to keep a bob in check: "Two ways we love to make a bob look cool, is to straighten the hair and tuck under the ends – which is how Chloe usually wears hers – or with a loose messy wave. This can be achieved with a tong or a wand, plus a texture spray or mouse to give it that undone look."
