In a viral video, which has so far amassed over 5.6 million views, he showed followers how to light something safely from below whether you are left- or right-handed

‘Here’s something I wish I knew before I was in my thirties – how to use a lighter!’ Sidney said at the beginning of the clip while holding up a disposable lighter.

‘When lighting something from below, don’t light it this way and go down,’ he said, while tilting the flame downwards which burnt his thumb.

The social media star added: ‘Instead, turn the lighter around, light it that way and then go down.’

He showed the camera the technique by turning his hand around so that the spark was away from his fingertips.

Sidney even told people how they should hold a lighter depending on whether they are right-handed and left-handed.

He said: ‘Righties face the lighter to the right, lefties face the lighter to the left.

‘Greatly reduce your risk of boo boo owies (sic).’
