She’s won the hearts of millions for her antics on the pitch, with an impressive three clean sheet at the Women’s World Cup.

And Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps, 30, is just as popular after the final whistle.

The Nottingham-born Manchester United star has racked up nearly 800,000 followers on TikTok where she shares fun videos with her teammates.

One recent video shows her inside her England’s training ground in Sydney making coffee which comes with her teammates face printed on it.

Another, show her with fellow Lionesses whale spotting while Down Under, while in a third she visits kangaroos.

Back in the UK she also loves TikTok, sharing snaps of her dancing as well as funny skits with her pals.

Many of her videos feature teammates Millie Bright and Beth England, while she also shares insights into exotic destinations like Greece and Spain.

Despite her starring role on the pitch, the goalkeeper almost quit football entirely until coach Sarina Wiegman gave her a chance.

She starting picking up international caps in the U17 squad and made her senior team debut in 2017.

But at the time she was the fourth goalkeeper in the squad, and considered quitting football altogether.

She often poses with her teammates – and has shared loads of content of her trip to Australia

Earps also shared a video of her business class flight to Australia

‘To be honest I never thought I would get back to [being #1 goalkeeper]. I didn’t think I would be in a squad for a major tournament again, let alone playing a final against Germany at Wembley,’ she told the BBC ahead of the Euro finals.

‘I can vividly remember the days of feeling really down. I got to a point where I felt I had sort of reached my limits. I had given football a good go, but wasn’t quite good enough. I had responsibilities, I had a mortgage and it wasn’t adding up. Eventually I decided to give it just a couple more years.

‘Then Sarina came in, in the September (2021) and life changed just like that. I felt that she really understood where I came from and had real empathy for me as a human being. That is not something I’ve experienced a lot in football.’

The goalkeeper has also discussed her ‘intense’ work ethic,  telling GQ she hopes to change perspective on women’s football.

‘I’m very intense. I’m very ambitious about wanting to push myself to reach my absolute maximum potential and change the landscape of female goalkeeping. You know, just small goals,’ she said.

Now Earps likes nothing more than to get dressed up in glamorous frocks and strut along a red carpet – and she’s even launched her own clothing range, Mary Alexandra Earps or MAE27 for short.

She also has a lucrative deal as an ambassador for McDonald’s, thought to be worth around £300,000 a year.

But she does keep her Instagram followers up-to-date with her holidays, that include trips to Madrid, Greece and Australia.

If that wasn’t enough, the Lioness appears to be a favourite with magazines; she appeared in GQ’s digital magazine in a white, thigh-high split dress this summer

She’s also enjoyed success on the pitch, helping the Lionesses reach the quarter final of the World Cup after today’s victorious match against Nigeria in a thrilling final 16 clash that went to penalties.

Meanwhile, after starting every game of the Euros, Earps was named Best Goalkeeper at FIFA’s annual awards in February.

She suffered a two-year absence from the England squad before boss Sarina Wiegman appointed Earps in September 2021. Earps’ performances for Manchester United earned her a recall and she quickly cemented herself as the No 1.

‘This is for anyone who has ever been in a dark place,’ Earps said in her acceptance speech. ‘Just know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. There’s only one of you, and that’s more than good enough. Be unapologetically yourself.’

Earps’ speech was raw and resonated with many but the 30-year-old recently insisted to Mail Sport that it was not prepared in advance.

She said: ‘My loved ones keep me very humble and they said, “There’s no way on earth you’re ever going to win Mary… but in an alternative reality where you do, have you thought about it?”.

‘I said, “Well it’s not going to happen so I’m not putting any energy into that”. I was too busy thinking about not falling over in my heels. Then I was standing there and people had those headsets on to translate and I was thinking, “Well you have to try and say something nice and inspiring”. And that’s what came out.

‘I just spoke from the heart. I have worked so hard for many years, had to be resilient and fight for things that nobody has known about.’

The vice-captain was one of the England players who gatecrashed Wiegman’s post-match press conference following their Euros final win last year singing Three Lions and Earps spontaneously decided to climb on the table to bust a few moves.

Speaking to the publication in July, Earps revealed that it was during a kickabout in the garden with her father and brother that she realised she wanted to be a goalkeeper

To her horror, the video went viral. The irony, Earps said, is that she ‘used to do a lot of ballet’ during her childhood.

‘I don’t think you could tell from the clip that I ever had a dancing past! That just shows you how stiff I am these days,’ Earps said.

‘I didn’t realise it was going to follow me around until maybe a week after. I was doing media for maybe four or five days and they didn’t stop talking about it.

‘When I did it, I did realise I’d made a bit of an error in judgment when I looked up and saw a load of cameras and phones.

‘I didn’t intend for that to happen but at the same time it’s fun in the sense that it was just me, my genuine emotions in the moment.

‘I was crying on the pitch thinking about the journey that I’d been on and then the complete contrast of being ready to party for days.’

Earps has previously explained how she’s her Manchester United team’s ‘Agony Aunt’, saying to Sportsmail about her being one of the more experienced footballers: ‘I think it’s good for the younger players in the team.

‘I sometimes feel like I’m a bit of an Agony Aunt. If they’ve got something going on, on or off the pitch, normally I can relate to it because I’ve experienced a lot myself.’

One of Earps’ biggest strengths is her communication with her team-mates, with the keepers’ booming voice often heard from high up in the stands.

Despite her success, Nike has been accused of snubbing England goalkeeper Earps after leaving her out of an Instagram post congratulating the team for their win over Australia.

The clothing giant is embroiled in a bitter war of words with the football star after she called them out for not stocking replicas of her shirt.

The message, which was put up on the social media platform after their 3-1 win over Australia on Wednesday, said: ‘Pure energy. Just one game separates the pack from the title.’

While the picture included the likes of Chloe Kelly, Georgia Stanway and even Lauren James – who has been under a red card ban from the last two games – Ms Earps was noticeably absent.

Fans now believe that bosses at the sportswear giant left her out because she criticised them over its ‘shameful’ stance towards the goalkeeper’s kit.

Despite Ms Earps being in the World Cup final on Sunday, it is still impossible to buy a replica shirt because bosses at the global sports brand do not think they will be profitable.

Writing underneath the post, one fans wrote: ‘Make and sell Mary Earps shirts if you want to look like a half decent company. You should be ashamed of the way you are treating her, her family and her fans around the world. To add insult to injury, you’re promoting your brand based on the success of this Lionesses team. Your behaviour is atrocious.’

‘Don’t claim to support women’s football until you support all our players – just like you do in the men’s,’ another observed.

Meanwhile, England fans have boycotted Nike after it refused to sell replica womens’ goalkeeper shirts.
