McDonald’s is adding a new permanent burger to its menu next week– and it's already popular in the US | The Sun

MCDONALD'S is revamping its menu and is launching a new burger that is already popular in the US.

The chain said the McCrispy burger will be the " crispiest, crunchiest chicken burger out there" – and it will be available from October 19.

A McCrispy extra-value meal will cost £6.49, and it is McDonald's first permanent chicken burger since 2007.

It contains a crunchy, chicken fillet, lettuce, mayonnaise with a truffle flavour, and is sandwiched between a glazed bun.

The crunchy, 100% chicken breast fillet is marinated in black pepper and cayenne.

In March, the McCrispy was trialled s the Crispy McFillet in just 50 McDonald's branches.

McDonald’s is driving a free all-day breakfast bus around 10 locations

The fast food giant said the burger was a hit with customers, so they have decided to roll it out across the country next week.

In July, McDonald's revealed it would be adding up to 20p to a number of menu items

The much-loved 99p cheeseburger increased in price for the first time in 14 years, and now costs £1.19.

It comes just days after McDonald's announced it would be giving away free fries as it raised awareness of "fry thefts".

The fast food giant is also giving fans the chance of bagging a free McMuffin and Coke Zero – but only if you're a student.

McDonald's is driving its breakfast bus around 10 cities and towns until October 21.

While the McMuffin's from the breakfast bus are free to students between 11am and 4pm, you usually can't bag a maccie's breakfast after 11am, despite people wanting it to be an all-day affair.

That's because the fast food restaurant switches over its menu and starts serving up everyday items like Big Macs and Chicken Legends.

It used to switch to the lunchtime menu half an hour earlier – at 10.30am, but bosses added an extra 30 minutes to the breakfast range in 2019.

Restaurants open 24 hours a day start serving breakfast from 5am.

Every other restaurant kicks off the day with the breakfast menu at their normal opening times.

If you don't want to order maccies takeaway and don't where your nearest branch is, you can find it on the McDonald's website.

How can I save on my McDonald's order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald's.

You should choose your branch wisely – menu prices can vary across different restaurants just a couple of miles apart.

We've seen Big Mac meals up to 30p cheaper before, which added up over the course of a year could save you a fair few pounds.

You can also get freebies on your birthday if you've got the My McDonald's app.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though – otherwise you'll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you'll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.
