Meghan Markle risks painting herself as bitter if she writes about ‘what really happened’ between her and Kate Middleton in her rumoured memoir.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, is reported to be writing a tell-all book about her time in the Royal Family.

But the memoir could leave her coming across as ‘bitter’ if she paints the Princess of Wales in a bad light, a royal expert has claimed.

Speaking to The Sun,  royal author Phil Dampier said that Meghan will likely voice her opinion on the constant ‘comparisons’ between the two.

‘She would give her side of what really happened between her and Kate in the run up to the wedding, when each allegedly made the other cry. Everyone will be fascinated to hear Meghan’s take on her relationship with Kate, whether she was hostile or welcomed her from the start’.

While fans of the duke and duchess may welcome such a gripping exposé, Mr Dampier fears that the royal family are ‘concerned’ with the nature of the book, and are most likely bracing themselves for more controversy.

News of Meghan’s book comes not long after her husband Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare which was released in January.

Though creating a media storm of its own, the royal expert says it’s got nothing on Meghan’s, and her memoir could outsell Spare.

Meanwhile royal expert Tom Bower, who penned Revenge: Meghan and Harry and the war between the Windsors, agrees that it will be a big seller for the couple.

He told GBNews: ‘My information is that she is writing her memoirs and it will be a huge money-spinner.’

The prince’s shocking 416-page autobiography is rumoured to have pulled in a staggering £16 million ($20 million) advance.

The huge sum built on the mega deals they signed with Spotify for £25million ($30m) and Netflix for £81million ($100m) – and if news of Meghan’s impending memoir is correct, the duo are expected to rake in even more cash.

In Spare, Harry, 39, made a series of sensational claims that hit the headlines around the world.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince William, Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex on the long Walk at Windsor Castle to greet well-wishers following the Queen’s death

These included an alleged altercation with his brother Prince William, in which he was allegedly knocked to the ground by his brother.

Harry claimed that William had branded his wife Meghan Markle ‘rude’ and ‘difficult’.

He also wrote how he and William begged King Charles not to marry the now Queen Camilla, who he feared could become their ‘wicked stepmother’, before suggesting she had plotted to take the crown and leaked stories to the press.

Other eyebrow-raising passages included the revelation that he lost his virginity to ‘an older woman’ in a field behind a pub.

Sasha Walpole, 40, later revealed she was that woman, adding that it was Harry who made the first move, leading to their ‘spontaneous and sparky’ sex in a field behind The Vine Tree pub in the Wiltshire village of Norton.
