  • The South American socialite told Hello! that the Duchess is ‘stronger than she knows’ and says she’ll always ‘support’ her friend
  • Pals dub themselves ‘p-wives’ when they attend matches their husbands play in

Meghan Markle’s close friend and fellow polo wag has gushed about how the Duchess of Sussex is ‘stronger than she knows’, in a recent interview with Hello Magazine.

Argentine socialite and businesswoman Delfina Blaquier, 41, praised Meghan following a glamorous polo meet in Aspen, Colorado last week, making it clear the pair are strong pals.

Prince Harry has been friends with Delfina’s husband, Argentinian Nacho Figueras, through their shared love of the sport for years, and after the Sussexes’ move to the US, Meghan and Delfina have now forged a friendship – with Meghan calling them the ‘p-wives’ at matches where they watch their husbands play.

Delfina praised the Duchess, telling Hello: ‘She is so wonderful and strong. Stronger than she knows. I love being around my friends, and I will always support her.’

In an earlier interview with Hello, Delfina also revealed that the two referred to themselves as the ‘P Wives’ which stands for ‘Polo Wives’.

It’s not only Delfina that has praised Meghan, last week Nacho Figueras also publicly  said that Harry had ‘found an amazing team mate in Meghan.’

Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras, 45, an Argentine actor, model, polo player, and longtime friend of Harry’s who competed alongside him at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Colorado on Thursday, praised the couple after the event.

Nacho first met the royal, 37, in 2007 at a charity match hosted by Sentebale – the organization created by Harry that was designed to ‘help children and adolescents struggling to come to terms with their HIV status’ – and from the start, he said it was clear that Harry dreamed of starting a family.

‘Delfi and I have known Harry for a very long time. I know firsthand how much he wanted to have a family,’ he told People magazine recently.

The positive accolades for the Duchess comes after a wave of good news for her own ventures – including her podcast, which has upstaged Joe Rogan as the most listened to on Spotify.

Meghan Markle has officially dethroned Joe Rogan as the most popular podcast on Spotify – despite critics panning the first episode of her $18 million show as ‘preposterous’ and filled with ‘vapid conversation.’

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, knocked Joe’s show, The Joe Rogan Experience, out of the number one spot on Spotify’s most-listened to chart on Thursday, two days after releasing her highly-anticipated Archetypes podcast.

During the 57-minute-long first episode, the wife of Prince Harry, 37, discussed some of the struggles that she says she has faced for being an ‘ambitious’ woman with guest Serena Williams, and made a numerous bombshell revelations about her time as a royal – claiming she was once forced to attend an event moments after her son Archie narrowly escaped a fire in his bedroom.

Her podcast was listened to by millions of people across the globe, and it quickly climbed to the top position in the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
