Mum-of-22 Sue Radford forced into garden makeover after ‘safety issues’

The Radford family are having a big garden makeover – and claimed they were forced into it.

Mum-of-22, Sue, whose daughter Millie recently confirmed the birth of her baby girl, shared the news with her Instagram fans this week. She said she was left with no choice but to revamp the area.

Sue also shared a picture which showed the aftermath of the park being torn down as a pile of wooden pieces and leftover bits of slide could be seen in the background. Social media users could also see a hammer in the picture, together with a grey bucket and a pair of gloves.

Over the snap, the mum wrote: "Park is gone." The 48-year-old then explained they'll be totally replacing the play area.

“We are going to be replacing it," she continued. "It’s had to come down as it wasn’t safe for the kids to play on."

Sue decided to turn the garden into a mini park back in 2020. The garden feature included all sorts – from a swing set to a slide to a climbing frame.

Sue and Noel have 22 children including Chris, 34, Sophie, 29, Chloe, 28, Jack, 26, Daniel, 24, Luke, 23, Millie, 22, Katie, 20, James, 19, Ellie, 18, Aimee, 17, Josh, 16, Max, 14, Tillie, 13, Oscar, 11, Casper, 11, Hallie, eight, Phoebe, seven, Archie, six, Bonnie, four, and Heidie, three. Tragically, the couple's 17th child – Alfie – was still born back in 2014.

It's said the parents support the family by running a pie shop and also featuring in reality TV show – 22 Kids And Counting. They also have a YouTube channel and document their lives on social media.

In recent years the fame has led to the family jetting off on various holidays. They've been snapped everywhere – from Cornwall to Lapland and Florida.

Sue and Noel have even been spotted soaking up the sun in the Maldives too.

When they were in Florida, the pair treated the children to some time in Gatorland to see alligators and crocodiles, and they also spent some time at Universal Studios. They did experience some drawbacks though, as they said they were "bitten so badly" by mosquitoes during their time away.

They said they visited the emergency room twice during the vacation. Since then, they seem to be chilling out more in the UK, and are now prioritising their time by getting the garden into decent shape.
