DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN she left me, my wife accused me of being abusive – but I’ve never laid a hand on her.
I’m 51, she is 49 and we’ve been married for seven years.
We’ve been rowing over money recently.
She’s frivolous, which puts a lot of strain on me to keep our finances above board.
So I decided to freeze the joint account to help with our financial situation.
This sparked a huge row and she walked out on me saying that I’m abusive and controlling.
I don’t want to end our marriage over this but I have no idea how to remedy the situation.
