'Open-plan pooing': House for sale at £650,000 features 'en-suite' with no walls

If you value your bathroom privacy, a new house listing in Northamptonshire might not be for you.

That’s because a house with an ‘open-plan toilet’ is up for sale for £650,000.

The three-bed home features an ‘en-suite’ in one of the top floor bedrooms that doesn’t come with the typical walls and door that you might expect.

Instead, the loo is located around the corner from the bed – on the other side of a bookshelf.

So no doubt you’ll be able to hear, smell and even see (from certain angles) everything that goes on in the bathroom.

People on Reddit have even joked the house is perfect for ‘open-plan pooing’.

Bizarre bathroom set-up aside, the bungalow is a modern and practical home.

The interesting design includes two wings to the property with the listing suggesting ‘one for the owner and the other for children or perhaps guests.’

The listing adds: ‘The superb live-in kitchen and the formal living room, create a central, sociable space, further enlarged by the courtyard, on fine days.

‘A blend of materials have been used internally, giving a modern feel to the rooms with a degree of warmth and character.’

The home also comes with a whole host of modern features including underfloor heating, a generous study room, and enormous bi-fold doors that create an indoor/outdoor dining setup.

Not to mention the courtyard is also south-facing, so the dream for those who like to enjoy dinner outside in the sunshine.

However, buyers might want to consider popping in a proper wall for the questionable upstairs en-suite. Just a thought.
