Halloween is only days away – and the spooky season often gets us thinking about our potentially supernatural encounters.

Social media users from around the world took to anonymous secret-sharing app Whisper to reveal the reasons they think their homes are haunted, and it might just send a shiver down your spine.

One person said they are ‘fairly certain’ their apartment in haunted because the piano ‘plays itself’ and they ‘often hear knocking from within the walls’.

Another said there is a ghost that speaks to them when they are lying in bed.

Another wondered if the haunted happenings were the reason ‘rent was so cheap’
