She opted for her signature glowing make-up look, incorporating golden hues across her eyelids, cheekbones and lips.

The royal elevated her ensemble with the Fleur de Lys tiara, which has only ever been worn by three first ladies.

Referred to as ‘La Buena’ (The Good One) within the Spanish royal family, this tiara was presented to Queen Ena of Spain by her husband King Alfonso XIII on their wedding day in 1906.

Meanwhile, King Felipe looked smart in his Supreme Commander of Armies uniform.

Crown Princess Mary also made a notable entrance, wearing a shimmering light blue gown.

The fit-and-flare silhouette was accentuated by a cinched waist and all-over embellishment that sparkled under the lights.

Princess Mary opted for glamorous make-up, featuring smoky eyeshadow and berry lipstick.

Mary selected the Edwardian tiara, a lavish piece crafted with diamonds, rubies and spinels, and set in gold and silver.

The elaborate design can be taken off its frame and worn as a necklace – which is how Mary first wore it in public at Aarhus in 2015.

Prince Frederik donned his traditional Danish military uniform, complete with ceremonial sabre and hat.
