Ryan Seacrest is finally saying goodbye to his Beverly Hills estate, but he’s walking away with millions less than he was hoping for.
According to TMZ, the television personality sold the home for $51 million, two years after he first put it on the market. Ryan first tried to offload the property in November 2020 with an asking price of $85 million.

He eventually slashed the price multiple times in hopes of finding a buyer. In August 2021, he lowered the price to $74.5 million, though it still didn’t get any concrete interest.
The American Idol host took it off the market, only to put it back up earlier this year for $69 million. He eventually accepted the $51 million offer – over $30 million less than he was originally hoping to get for the estate.
The compound’s many luxury features and sprawling space explains the high price tag. The main home features over 9,000 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The home’s other features include a gourmet chef’s kitchen that leads to an outdoor pizza oven. Its other amenities include a movie theatre, full gym, a lounge and bar, and 22-foot-high ceilings in the living room.
With plenty of land, it also comes with a variety of outdoor features, like a private mediation garden, landscaped gardens, and a reflecting pond. The home also offers stunning views of Los Angeles as well as the Pacific Ocean.
The television host has reportedly done extensive renovations to the property in the time he’s lived there. “He updated the house with state-of-the-art amenities,” real estate agent Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency, who represented the listing in 2021, told Mansion Global.
“He really kept the integrity and beauty [of the home] but updated it for his own personal lifestyle,” he continued.
Ryan has owned the home for nearly a decade. He purchased it for $36.5 million in 2012 from Ellen DeGeneres, who’s known for her penchant of buying and renovating homes to sell for a profit. Prior to that, the property was owned by Will & Grace creator Max Mutchnick.
TMZ notes that Ryan likely isn’t buying a new home in the Los Angeles area. He spends the majority of his time in New York, where he films for Live with Kelly and Ryan.
It’s unclear who the lucky buyer was of Ryan’s estate, but whoever they are, they now have a very luxurious estate to call home.
