One of those A-listers who never gets a nail look wrong is Sofia Richie, who’s been leading the way with the old money beauty trend that serves up understated classic glamour with some subtle modern updates.

Never one for following the crowd, it seems Sofia has avoided the Barbiecore trend of all pink everything, and instead opted for a different pastel shade that’s giving us all the summer feels.

And although the rest of the world has gone pink-mad recently, Sofia’s delicate lavender shade is the perfect alternative when you want a soft, feminine mani without entering Barbie world.

In a video shared to her TikTok on Monday, the model showed the process of getting her lilac-coloured nail design, captioning it: “Lavender nails for summer” as she gave a closer look at the gorgeous pastel hue.

It seems her fans are also ready for a shake up from the fuchsia shades that have been all over TikTok recently, as they flooded the comments with their love of the new colour.

“If Sofia Richie Grainge says lavender nails are for summer, then lavender nails I shall have,” said one fan, whilst another added: “Looks like I’m getting lavender nails.”

A third wrote: “Just like your style: elegant and timeless,” referencing Sofia’s knack for nailing the old money aesthetic, which draws on the similar quiet luxury trend, and is all about embracing understated and classic glamour whilst avoiding ‘tacky’ or in your face fashion trends.

With the style being all about avoiding trends and instead investing in timeless looks that will never go out of fashion, it makes perfect sense that Sofia has avoided the current pink shades that are everywhere and instead opted for a different nail colour that embodies the same feminine vibe without being tied to a trend.
