Subway launches cracking ‘Creme Egg Melt’ – but you’ll have to be quick

Easter treats keep getting quirkier every year.

So far this year we've seen a fried chicken Easter egg and one that contains a saucy sex toy.

Now you can officially indulge in a chocolate sandwich thanks to one popular fast food chain.

Subway's Creme Egg Melt is made with Cadbury Creme Egg created in partnership with Cadbury just in time for Easter.

As unusual as it may seem, the sarnie will be available across the UK on Friday (April 7) for one day only.

The cracking collab created the ultimate savoury-sweet treat to kick off the Easter weekend, and people can't quite get over it.

The SubMelt – made with Cadbury Creme Egg – is golden toasted on the outside and deliciously gooey on the inside.

Sandwich Artists at Subway perfected, pressed and toasted the sub that oozes delicious, melted milk chocolate and soft fondant.

The limited-edition Easter treat will be available for free at four restaurants across the UK for one day only, and it's totally free.

Each restaurant will have a limited number of six-inch SubMelt’s to giveaway, so chocolate and Subway lovers will need get down to a participating restaurant quickly to be in with a chance of carrying out the taste test.

The quirky sandwich will be available at the following stores:

  • Liverpool, Subway, Unit 3, Ranelagh Street, Central Shopping Centre, L1 1QT
  • Swansea , Subway, 117-129 Peniel Green Road, Llansamlet Service Station, SA7 9BA
  • Glasgow , Subway, 293 Sauchiehall Street, G2 3HQ
