The Oodie: Are the wearable blankets Martin Lewis fans love worth the money?

As the cost of living crisis continues, many of us are looking for ways to keep the heating off for longer – and one product has gone viral for being ‘the cosiest thing ever’.

Enter the Oodie – a wearable fleece-lined hooded blanket that has garnered serious praise from Martin Lewis fans for helping them keep their energy bills down.

The Australian brand has appeared again and again as a recommendation on MoneySavingExpert.com’s forums – with some claiming they’ve eliminated using central heating altogether as a result of buying an Oodie.

‘In winter my house was about 17 degrees, got low as 14 degrees in evening, but with my Oodie on I didn’t feel it,’ wrote one MSE forum member.

The Oodie is lined with Sherpa fleece and is made with a front kangaroo pocket – priced at £84 normally, the wearable blanket’s online shop is currently selling the classics at just £54 as part of an autumn sale.
