Vanessa Hudgens is sporting a new (and very expensive) ring after her boyfriend, Colorado Rockies shortstop Cole Tucker, popped the question in Paris, France earlier this month.
The High School Musical actress shared a slideshow to Instagram featuring a photo of herself and Cole posing in front of the Eiffel tower. In the photo, Vanessa flicks her hand upwards to show off her engagement ring.

A second image gave her followers an up-close look at the ring, which is a large, rectangular diamond set on a simple gold band.
“YES. We couldn’t be happier,” Vanessa captioned the photo.
It’s not known how much the MLB player paid for the ring, but one report says it could be as much as $182,000 USD.

“The diamond appears to be around 5.5ct and measures approximately 14 x 9mm, making it a statement piece that’s sure to turn heads,” the ring specialist continued.
“The estimated colour of the diamond, a D or E on the GIA scale, suggests that it is of excellent quality and has a desirable white hue,” Jessica added. “It is not clear whether the diamond is lab-grown or mined, but either way it is a breathtakingly beautiful piece.”
The expert concluded that the ring is worth anywhere between $167,000 to $182,000.
Cole and Vanessa were first linked in 2020. A year into their romance, the actress referred to their relationship as “perfect.”

“He’s just kind of perfect for me,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”
There’s no word yet on when the newly engaged couple plan to tie the knot.
Another celebrity who recently made headlines for her head-turning engagement ring was Rita Ora. The singer flaunted her rock for the first time during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in January. The unusual emerald ring is estimated to be worth as much as $617,000.
“He did good,” Rita says of her husband Taika Waititi’s choice of engagement ring. “I may have taken him to the shop and I may have pointed out exactly what ring I wanted.”
