Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer: Co-parenting ‘is a motherf–ker’
Tobey Maguire made a rare red carpet appearance with his 16-year-old daughter, Ruby Sweetheart, on Thursday evening.
The dad and daughter duo hit the premiere for his new film “Babylon” at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Maguire, 47, looked dapper for the event in a black suit, matching tie and white shirt.
Meanwhile, Ruby dressed in cool black velvet dress, tights, lace-up boots, and a red leather coat with fur trim.
The pair were both seen flashing smiles to the cameras as they posed together on the carpet.
Ruby is one of two children that Maguire shares with his ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer.
The “Spider-Man” star and jewelry designer also have a 13-year-old son, Otis.
The former couple called it quits in 2016 after nine years of marriage.
“After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” they told People in a joint statement at the time. “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”
This past June, Meyer, 45, confessed that co-parenting was “a lot of work.”
“It was a choice, and it was trusting in, like, the universe has got our back,” she said in a podcast of trying to stay on track. “But let me tell you something, the work is a motherf–ker.”
However, Meyer also noted that she and Maguire still had a great friendship.
“I can’t even explain [it],” she said of their bond. “He is my brother. I love him to death.”
After his marriage ended, Maguire was linked to model Tatiana Dieteman.
However, they reportedly split earlier this year after three years together.
In recent months, the “Don’s Plum” star has been spotted hitting the town with his old pal Leonardo DiCaprio in Beverly Hills and Miami for Art Basel.
