Strictly Come Dancing 2022 is set to begin on Friday 23 September, with a new host of celebrities preparing to take to the dance floor.
The launch show will reveal who is partnered with who, and the following evening (24 September) the first live show will air.
This year's star-studded line-up includes celebrities such as Loose Women's Kaye Adams, X Factor star Fleur East, soap stars Kym Marsh and Will Mellor, as well as comedian Ellie Taylor.
New professional dancers have been also introduced for the 20th series, which will see Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke return as judges.
As a fresh batch of celebrity contestants and their professional partners prepare to compete for the iconic Strictly Glitterball trophy, we take a look back through the catalogue of Strictly Come Dancing winners…
Series 19 – Rose Ayling-Ellis (2021)
EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis is the current reigning Strictly champion, having taken home the Glitterball trophy in 2021 alongside Giovanni Pernice.
Rose made history as Strictly's first ever deaf contestant and continued to impress throughout the competiton, eventually beating John Whaite and Johannes Radebe in the final.
Series 18 – Bill Bailey (2020)
Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse lifted the Glitterball trophy in 2020, with Bill beating celebrities including Maisie Smith, HRVY, and Jamie Laing.
The pair also made Strictly history with Bill being the show's oldest ever winner and Oti winning two years in a row for the first time ever.
Series 17 – Kelvin Fletcher (2019)
Despite joining the show at the last minute, Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher remained the favourite to win throughout the 2019 series.
After a series of spectacular dance performances, Kelvin and Oti Mabuse were crowned winners.

Series 16 – Stacey Dooley (2018)
TV presenter Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton came out on top in 2018, despite YouTuber Joe Sugg being the favourite to win throughout the series.
Stacey beat Joe, Ashley Roberts, and Faye Tozer in the series 16 final. She and Kevin fell in love following their time on the show, and in 2022 announced that they're expecting their first child together.
Series 15 – Joe McFadden (2017)
Holby City star Joe McFadden danced his way to the winning spot in 2017, alongside professional partner Katya Jones.
Joe's dancing improved week by week, and saw him beat Alexandra Burke, Debbie McGee, and Gemma Atkinson in the final.
Series 14 – Ore Oduba (2016)
BBC Sports presenter Ore Oduba impressed fans with his Jive, which ultimately solidified his spot as a strong contender for the win.
He and partner Joanne Clifton scored 39, 40, and 40, for their routines in the final, which saw them lift the Glitterball trophy in 2016.

Series 13 – Jay McGuiness (2015)
The Wanted's Jay McGuiness also wowed viewers with his Jive, putting him as a frontrunner for the win in 2015.
Jay and Aliona Vilani beat soap stars Kellie Bright and Georgia May Foote in the final, coming out on top.
Series 12 – Caroline Flack (2014)
Late TV presenter Caroline Flack was crowned Strictly champion in 2014, with professional partner Pasha Kovalev.
The pair scored three perfect 40s for all of their routines in the final, wowing the judges and fans.
Series 11 – Abbey Clancy (2013)
The 11th series of Strictly saw model Abbey Clancy take home the Glitterball trophy.
Abbey and partner Aljaž Skorjanec consistently impressed the judges with their routines, which saw them beat Susanna Reid and Natalie Gumede in the 2013 final.
Series 10 – Louis Smith (2012)
Olympian Louis Smith was tipped for the win from the start of series 10, but his Showdance sealed his spot at the top.
Fellow finalists Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen beat his scores in the last episode, but that didn't stop viewers choosing Louis and Flavia Cacace as their 2012 winners.
Series 9 – Harry Judd (2011)
The ninth series of Strictly saw McFly star Harry Judd crowned champion.
The boyband star and Aliona Vilani proved popular with both the judges and viewers, as they scored the most in the final and won the most public votes.
Series 8 – Kara Tointon (2010)
Actress Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev lifted the Glitterball trophy in 2010, beating Pamela Stephenson and Matt Baker.
The pair's chemistry was undeniable, and they celebrated their win with a kiss.
Series 7 – Chris Hollins (2009)
BBC Breakfast presenter Chris Hollins and Ola Jordan danced their way to the top spot in 2009.
The pair beat Ricky Whittle and Ali Bastain in the final despite not getting the highest score.
Series 6 – Tom Chambers (2008)
Before Joe McFadden's 2017 win, fellow Holby City star Tom Chambers took home the Glitterball.
2008's final saw Tom and Camilla Dallerup beat Rachel Stevens and Lisa Snowdon. Despite gaining the lowest score, the duo won over viewers and gained the most votes.
Series 5 – Alesha Dixon (2007)
2007 saw Alesha Dixon take on the challenge of Strictly, and coming out on top with partner Matthew Cutler.
Two years after being crowned champion, Alesha took over Arlene Phillips' judging role on the show.
Series 4 – Mark Ramprakash (2006)
England cricketer Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy were crowned the winners in 2006.
It didn't come as much of a surprise, with Mark and Karen being the only couple during series four to score a perfect 40.
Series 3 – Darren Gough (2005)
Darren Gough and Lilia Kopylova came out on top in 2005, beating Zoe Ball, James Martin and Colin Jackson.
The pair took home the win despite never making it to the top of the leaderboard during the 12-week series.
Series 2 – Jill Halfpenny (2004)
EastEnders star Jill Halfpenny took home the trophy back in 2004.
Jill and dance partner Darren Bennett blew judges away with their Jive, with it being the first ever routine to be awarded a perfect 40 on Strictly.
Series 1 – Natasha Kaplinsky (2004)
The first ever series of Strictly took place in the summer of 2004, before it became a staple to Winter TV.
BBC newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and dance partner Brendan Cole were crowned the first ever Strictly Come Dancing champions.
