Who is Chelcee Grimes after Christine McGuinness was spotted kissing her on night out

Christine McGuinness and Chelcee Grimes were spotting getting cosy during a trip to Winter Wonderland on Friday.

The pair, who's friendship began while competing on The Games, shared a kiss while they sat down for a drink together. Christine, 34, later described herself as the 'luckiest lady'.

A source told The Sun, “They seemed to be living in the moment and soaking up the festive atmosphere."

But who is Chelcee?

Career

Chelcee is a successful musician from Liverpool who has written songs for The Saturdays, Kesha, Dua Lipa, Olly Murs and Kylie Minogue.

She recently revealed her impressive Spotify 2022 statistics, which state that she's had 265.6 million streams of her songs, in 183 different countries.

She also releases her own music, including 2019's 'Time to Talk', with Love Island star Megan Barton Hanson starring in the accompanying video (more on that later!).

Her Instagram bio states, "I like to do a lot of things" which is certainly true.

The 30 year old won The Games, which is unsurprising with her sporty background.

Chelcee is a keen footballer who has played for Fulham Ladies, Liverpool FC and Everton. She is currently a part of Merseyrail Ladies FC, who are in the FA Women's National League Division One North.

Speaking to the BBC, she said: “For me, football is definitely the first love. I’ve played football for longer than I’ve done music and it’s just something I can’t really live without.

“It’s installed so many life lessons that I do take into music. I was signed at got dropped at 19 and it encouraged me to go and write songs.”

On top of all that, Chelcee has a TV career which has included commentating at the Eurovision Song Content and the World Cup 2019. She has also appeared on reality shows Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, A League of their Own and the aforementioned The Games.

Love life

In 2019, Chelcee and Megan Barton Hanson went public with their relationship after some speculation. They had an on/off relationship, which included a breakup when it was discovered they were both messaging the same woman, before fully calling it quits the following year.

Speaking about their romance Megan told Metro, "My whole life I’ve never really had a relationship with girls, like I said on Celebs Go Dating. And I’ve had, sexual experiences with girls and I’ve had one night stands with girls, but I feel like this is actually me.

"I’ve never felt so comfortable in my life, I feel like I’m finally where I should be. I’ve never felt as comfortable with someone."

Chelcee spoke to The Gay Times about her own sexuality explaining, "I say all the time it’s about what’s upstairs, not downstairs. If I can have a conversation with someone, and I’m getting along with them, and they’re making me laugh, and I find them attractive – it’s not about body parts, it’s about the person. Definitely."

Since Chelcee and Christine met earlier this year, they've spent a lot of time together even holidaying in Croatia, Crete and Santorini.

Christine told The Sun's Fabulous about their instant connection. “Chelcee is my soul sister.

"Just straight away from the day I met her, I just loved her.”
