But the best reading experience will be on an Amazon Kindle eReader, and the Paperwhite has long been the online shopping giant’s best all-round Kindle.

The Kindle Paperwhite boasts a brilliant, 300PPI display and a generous 6.8inch, glare-free screen which makes it easy to read on.

The Paperwhite also comes with an adjustable warm, front light which is powered by 17 LEDs – which is ideal for reading at night or if you just want to give your eyes a break with a more comfortable screen to look at.

The Paperwhite also boasts thinner bezels, a grippy rubber back that is easy to hold as well as featuring a premium look and feel.

The impressive Amazon eReader also offers speedy page turns (with the latest model offering a 20 percent improvement on the previous gen) as well as IPX8 waterproof rating. The Paperwhite also lets you hook up a pair of Bluetooth headphones if you want to listen to Audible audiobooks.

Amazon has decided to throw in three months worth of Kindle Unlimited with the Paperwhite after releasing an impressive new entry-level Kindle recently.

This Kindle – which is available for £84.99 for the version with ads – comes with a 300PPI display like the Kindle Paperwhite.

That’s the highest resolution display ever seen on an entry-level Kindle which offers a huge upgrade if you’re just used to the base model.

£84.99 View Deal

Amazon has unveiled an all-new entry-level Kindle. The new Kindle comes with double the storage of the previous model, USB-C support and a 300PPI display. That’s the same resolution quality as the more expensive Kindle Paperwhite.

It also comes with a whopping 16GB of onboard space and is more sustainable than ever, being made up of up to 75 percent recycled plastic.

These impressive specs come at a cost as the base Kindle is more expensive than ever before, but £45 less than the Paperwhite.

The new entry-level Kindle does fall short when comparing it with the Paperwhite in some areas, as the eReader doesn’t have as powerful a front light, is fitted with a smaller six inch screen and isn’t waterproof. You also can’t get three months worth of Kindle Unlimited for free with it at the moment.
