Amazon is readying its second huge sale event of the year with a clutch of early deals on all kinds of tech.
The Amazon Prime Early Access Sale will take place on the 11th and 12th October, but the tech giant is already listing some price cuts today.
As you’d expect, some of the best savings can be made on Amazon’s own range of devices. Things like Kindle ereaders and Alexa-powered smart speakers will always get the best discounts.
But there are plenty of other worthwhile tech savings to check out if you’re in need of a few things but don’t want to pay the full price.
A word of warning: just like Amazon Prime Day, the Early-Access Sale is only available to Amazon Prime members. So, you’ll either need to sign up and pay for a subscription or activate the free trial (you’ll get 30 days) in order to take part.
We’ll gather more tech deals next week once the sales are live but, in the meantime, here are some of the best early bird discounts we’ve seen.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8 – £1,029
The Surface Pro 8 is one of the best portable Windows-based devices you can get.
It’s a tablet, which makes it great for entertainment. But it also runs the full-fat version of Windows 11. So you can attach a keyboard and mouse and use it as if it was a laptop.
And although they usually don’t come cheap, Amazon has knocked a massive £270 off the price tag.

Hisense 50A6BGTUK 50-inch 4K smart TV – £319
If you weren’t aware of it, there’s the small matter of a rather important football tournament on the horizon.
And if you’re going to take in all the sporting action, there are worse ways to do it than with a 50-inch, 4K-ready HDR television.
Hisense may not be a big name in the TV world yet, but this Chinese brand has been pushing out good quality boxes at reasonable prices for a while now. Thanks to Amazon’s price cutting, this excellent TV is now quite a bit cheaper as well.
The Early Access Sale knocks 36% off the price, bringing it down from £499 to £319. Which is not to be sniffed at.

Apple AirPods Max – £469
Apple’s wares are notoriously pricey, so any discounts we can find on the company from Cupertino is a good one.
The AirPods Max are Apple’s top-level over-ear headphones and they’re all manner of luxury. Instant pairing with any of your other Apple devices, these headphones are crafted from anodized aluminium and boast a 20-hour battery life.
Despite the fact they’re a couple of years old at this point, they’re still the very best pair of headphones that Apple makes.
And thanks to the Amazon sale, you can nab them at nearly a hundred pounds cheaper.

DeLonghi Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS Pod Capsule Coffee Machine – £30
It’s a fact that life is better with coffee.
Especially since recent studies have shown the benefits of drinking a few brews a day, we’d recommend upgrading your at-home coffee components.
Not only will the price cut on this particular machine save you cash in the short term, it’ll also stop you needing to head outside and buy overpriced coffee in town. Which is kind of a win-win.

Kindle Oasis ereader – £180
As we said at the top of the article, the best deals will likely be found on Amazon’s own products.
And when it comes to the Kindle ereader, the best of the best of the best is the Oasis line. Yes, you can get the cheaper one which will be perfectly fine – but the Oasis is standout in terms of portability and durability.
It’s IPX8 waterproof and has the best reading screen you’ll find on a Kindle – now with a soft warm glow backlight for reading after dark.
If there was only ever one ereader you needed to have in your life, it’d be this one.
