Elon Musk dubbed ‘space Karen’ as insults projected on Twitter headquarters

Insults were hurled at Elon Musk via a projector outside of Twitter's headquarters – which has seen him be called everything from a 'space Karen' to a 'dictator's a**kisser.'

Hundreds of Twitter employees reportedly decided to quit after the billionaire demanded staffers to sign up for "long hours at high intensity," or leave by Thursday (November 17).

In response to the ultimatum, white text was seen scrolling along the side of the building, calling Musk names as criticism for his actions since taking over the social media platform on October 27, 2022.

It said: "Elon Musk: supreme parasite, pollutant pimple, apartheid profiteer, dictator's a**kisser, lawless oligarch, insecure coloniser, cruel hoarder, space Karen, mediocre manchild, pressurised privilege, petty racist, megalomaniac."

In the video, which has gained more than 85,000 likes, Fredrick Joseph wrote: "Twitter HQ tonight as hundreds of employees quit because of Elon."

TikTok users were in hysterics over the clip, which had been shared to the platform alongside the caption: "Welp, Elon…" and Taylor Swift's song Anti-Hero.

One user said: "Space Karen was what got me."

Another added: "Rich kid buys an expensive toy, breaks it weeks later…"

A third commented: "I like to think each employee got to pick out their own name for him."

"Everyone talking about Space Karen but Mediocre Manchild really hits for me," a fourth wrote.

The departure of more staff comes after Musk fired half of the workforce, including top management, shortly after his takeover and is continuing to make changes to the work environment.

But Musk doesn't seem phased by the mass resignations as he tweeted "the best people are staying" later that evening.

However, one employee did make claims that the billionaire had met with some of the resigning staff members in an attempt to get them to stay earlier that afternoon.

Elon Musk has been approached for comment via Twitter.
