Elon Musk is accompanied around Twitter HQ by two bodyguards at all times, a former engineer at the company has claimed.
The two bodyguards, who the engineer described as 'tall' and 'bulky', reportedly tail Musk everywhere he goes in Twitter HQ—including the toilet.
The engineer said he thinks Musk has a 'lack of trust' in Twitter staff which is why he is constantly accompanied by security.

Musk's use of private security stands in stark contrast to his sacking of countless staff at the social media firm, including cleaning and catering workers.
The engineer, who spoke to the BBC anonymously under the pseudonym of 'Sam', claimed: "Wherever he [Musk] goes in the office, there are at least two bodyguards—very bulky, tall, Hollywood-movie-[style] bodyguards. Even when [he goes] to the restroom."
The engineer's testimony came as part of a huge BBC investigation into Musk's takeover of Twitter.
'Sam' also said that Twitter is in 'chaos' following huge disruption to the company initiated by Musk's buyout.
He said: "There are so many things broken and there's nobody taking care of it, that you see this inconsistent behaviour."

'Sam' added: "For someone on the inside, it's like a building where all the pieces are on fire.
"When you look at it from the outside the facade looks fine, but I can see that nothing is working. All the plumbing is broken, all the faucets, everything."
Despite running Twitter seemingly full-time, Elon Musk remains the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, the Boring Company, and other firms.
The billionaire took time out of his busy schedule at Twitter on Friday to show off Tesla's 'Optimus' robots—but viewers said he looked 'tired'.
