E4 MAFS UK star left ‘suicidal’ after losing everything during break-up

One of Married at First Sight UK's most popular stars has opened up on how he felt "suicidal" after getting into a rough brawl with a fellow contestant.

Luke Worley admitted he went through a horrific break-up after he got into a heated confrontation with another person who was starring on the show. He admitted that after the clash, he felt he was at his lowest and was "losing everything".

Fans watching the show were shocked on Monday night (October 30) as they watched Worley smash his way into co-star Jordan Gayle's apartment and get into a physical altercation. Things were only stopped once producers stepped in to keep the pair apart.

After the incident, Luke – together with wife Jay Howard – were kicked off the show, which is broadcast on Channel 4's sister channel E4. Bosses at the channel gave Luke the boot with "immediate effect after he shocked both cast and crew with his aggressive behaviour".

In explosive scenes aired in the latest episode, Luke knocked on Jordan's flat door demanding an explanation for comments he made about his marriage to Jay. The pair got into a heated fight, with Luke exclaiming that Jordan was trying to "ruin" his marriage with the comments.

After being separated, viewers watching the show were left in shock, with many deeming the incident "embarrassing" for the pair. Immediately after the fight, Channel 4 producers thought it was best to take Luke and Jay out of the process.

Now, speaking for the first time since the scenes aired, Luke admitted he lost everything. He had added that he was at the lowest point in his life when the last relationship he was in broke down and was trying as hard as he could to keep the relationship going.

Luckily for Luke, he decided to go onto the hit dating show, where he was able to meet the love of his life Jay. The pair have been inseparable since meeting on the show, even after the pair were kicked off the programme.

Speaking on Jordan Brook's podcast, Luke admitted how he felt going into the show: "People don't talk about men's mental health enough you know. People thought I was okay after the break-up, but I wasn't.

"I was suicidal," he revealed. "I've not said this to anyone, so this is the first time I'm saying it."

Worley recalled that at one point he was incredibly close to taking his own life, saying he had a number of tablets in his hand. He said he needed a way out of the pain, which is why he chose to go on Married at First Sight.

"That relationship was all I knew," he said. "It wasn't just her I lost, it was my pet, it was my home, it was her family, it was my life. My life was done."

Luke, who was a fan favourite on the show, has since revealed he is in a much better place than where he was previously. He also confirmed that he and Jay are still together, much to the delight of fans who followed their journey.
