Everything we know so far about ‘Starfield’ from release date to preorders

After years of delay, Bethesda's latest game 'Starfield' is almost with us—and gamers are dying to get their hands on it.

Thanks to the 45-minute-long Starfield Direct presentation on Sunday, we got the closest look yet at this spacefaring RPG from the creators of Fallout and Skyrim.

It sees players explore a 'galaxy' of more than 1000 planets in the year 2330. You'll be able to create a unique character and embark on your own adventure across the stars.

Not only that, but Starfield is the first new game 'universe' from Bethesda in 25 years. So enough about the game—here's our full guide to how you can get your hands on it.

When is Starfield coming out and is it going to be on Game Pass?

Fortunately for Xbox gamers, Starfield is a Day One release on Game Pass—meaning it will be available for subscribers to play as soon as it comes out on September 6, 2023.

However, you don't have to wait that long to download it as Xbox is already letting people preload the game right now.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Xbox Game Pass area of your Xbox home screen and you should be given the option to download the base files for the game.

That means that when it finally comes out, you'll just have to download a few additional files and can start playing right away.

GAME also has the Starfield Constellation Edition available on preorder for £249.99, which includes:

  • the Shattered Space Story expansion
  • 5 days early access
  • A Steelbook display case
  • A sewable Constellation Patch
  • Starfield Chronomark Watch and Case
  • In-game credit stick
  • Access to the Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack

For those who don't want to wait until September, you can get your hands on the Starfield Limited Edition controller and headset right now.
