Apple fans are just days away from seeing the iPhone 14 for the first time. On Wednesday, September 7 Apple is holding its ‘Far out’ event, which is expected to reveal the iPhone 14, Apple Watch 8 and AirPods Pro 2. And if you haven’t upgraded for a while you may want to trade in your old handset to get money off the iPhone 14, especially since the Pro and Pro Max models are rumoured to feature some game-changing new features such as an always-on display and a pill-shaped front-facing camera.

The iPhone 14 could be revealed on September 7, according to the rumour mill. And that means time is running out to trade-in your old device and get the best deal possible – musicMagpie advises people looking to trade-in and upgrade to an iPhone 14 to get a quote for their old handset on September 2 to get the best price.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will offer the biggest revisions to the iPhone line in years, and if you’re eager to get these flagships for cheaper then you can get hundreds of pounds back when you trade in your old phone.

musicMagpie offers great rates if you want to trade in your old iPhone and convert it into cash quickly – and you may be surprised at how much money you can get.

For last year’s iPhone 13 musicMagpie will give you £461 that you can put towards an iPhone 14.

This price is for the 128GB model as long as it’s unlocked and in good condition – but you don’t need to have a relatively new iPhone to get hundreds of pounds back.

iPhone 13: Apple shows off features of new handset

Unlike other smartphones, iPhones hold their value remarkably well and you can still sell them for a good price.

For instance, the iPhone X – which was released five years ago in 2017 – will still fetch £141 at musicMagpie for the unlocked 64GB model.

While you may not be too impressed by that amount of money back, the Samsung Galaxy S20 – which was released in 2020 – has a £185 trade-in price at musicMagpie for the non-5G version or £190 for the 5G model.

That’s not that much more for a phone that was released three years after the iPhone X.

If you’re curious about how much your iPhone could fetch, here are the current trade-in prices at musicMagpie for a number of different models…

• iPhone 13 128GB in good condition – £461 trade-in price

• iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB in good condition – £600 trade-in price

• iPhone 12 64GB in good condition – £332 trade-in price

• iPhone 11 64GB in good condition – £218 trade-in price

• iPhone XR 64GB in good condition – £131 trade-in price

• iPhone X 64GB in good condition – £141 trade-in price

• iPhone SE 2020 64GB in good condition – £101 trade-in price

It’s been claimed the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will boast some eye-catching exclusive features, including being the only models to be fitted with the new A16 Bionic chip.

Besides this, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are rumoured to be ditching the notch on the front for a new pill-shaped selfie camera. If you’re wondering how this will look then check out the mock-ups in this article courtesy of LetsGoDigital.

This new camera set-up will help create more screen space, which is ideal as the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are rumoured to be the first iPhones ever to have an always on display.

If this feature is added it will mean these new iPhones will be able to show crucial data such as the time, date and more when the phone is on standby.

Elsewhere, it’s also thought the iPhone 14 range could take advantage of satellites when calling emergency services.

This could literally be a life-saver if you find yourself in an area with low connection and are struggling to get through to call for help.

As always with rumours, it’s best to take claims with a pinch of salt until official confirmation. But thankfully Apple fans don’t have long to wait to find out for certain what the iPhone 14 will be bringing to the table.

Apple’s upcoming Far Out event is taking place on Wednesday, September 7 with a start time of 6pm BST.

Express.co.uk will be there at the Apple Campus in Cupertino and will be delivering to you all the big news from the event as and when it breaks.
