Android smartphone users holding out for Google’s next flagship to drop seemingly won’t have long to wait.

According to YouTuber Jon Prosser, the next iteration of the Pixel phone will be here in just a couple of months.

Citing ‘very reputable sources’, Prosser suggests that Google will launch the new phone at an event on October 6.

It will follow this up with an on-sale date of October 13, he claims.

Prosser has successfully predicted Pixel release dates in the past, so he’s got a good track record when it comes to letting the cat out of the bag.

And while he isn’t able to give anything away regarding the specs or the pricing, he suggests the Pixel 7 series will be ‘very reminiscent’ of last year’s Pixel 6 phones.

Google itself confirmed that the new Pixels were in development during its 2022 I/O developer conference in May.

And last month, a prototype of the device surfaced on Reddit after one gadget fan claimed they’d bought it on Facebook Marketplace.

Google has a poor track record of keeping details of its new gadgets under wraps. So it’s highly likely we’ll know a lot more about the Pixel 7 by the time October rolls around.
