We're less than a week away from Apple's September 7 event, where the tech giant is widely tipped to launch the iPhone 14 series as well as a spate of other new products.
While there's no evidence to fully confirm what the upcoming products will look like, the rumour mill has been in full swing in the lead-up to the launch — and an apparent Apple insider claims to know what the new iPhone 14 will look like.
According to MacRumors, the insider said the new iPhone 14 Pro will ditch the controversial screen 'notch' at the top of the device, and replace it with a small pill-shaped 'cutout'.

They claimed the new display will feature 'privacy indicator' dots to tell you when the camera and microphone are activated.
The anonymous source also told Macrumors that these lights will be "much brighter than the rest of the display".
Their claims support those of Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who said that "this is true. It looks like one wide pill shaped cutout. Having that separation would look odd during use," referring to concept sketches of a 'pill + hole' design that surfaced earlier this year.
However, it seems as if the new 'cutout' will be roughly the same size as the notch.

It's not clear which models will have the altered display design, with some suggesting it will only be on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.
The other models would seemingly retain the notch, although of course, it is important to take all of this with a pinch of salt as nothing has been confirmed by Apple just yet.
All will be revealed next week when Apple hosts its Autumn event on September 7 at 1800 GMT.
