iPhone users have been left divided over whether a popular trick that could make sure they never miss a notification again is such a good idea.

TikToktech expert @keyboardshortcuts shared the hack to help her followers to be aware of all of their alerts even in moments when they can't hear the phone because the room is too noisy.

In the video, which has garnered more than 150 likes, she explained how to set up the LED Flash for Alerts to make your iPhone flashlight flash when you have a notification.

The brief light show supposedly will be enough to instantly catch your attention even if you can't hear a notification, which makes it deal for people who are hard of hearing or spend most of the day in a noisy environment.

Giving step by step instructions, she said: "Here's a great iPhone notification tip. Go to settings, scroll down to accessibility.

"Click on Audio/Visual and turn on LED flash for alerts. This allows your phone to flash when you have a notification, so you don't have to look at your phone."

While some TikTok users actually love the hack and use it with their phones – others claimed they found it to just be a nuisance.

One user wrote: "Unless you’re deaf, this is annoying. Especially to the people around you."

Another added: "Nah brings too much attention."

A third simply wrote: "I hate that!!"

Last month, another TikTok techy shared a video that showed a simple trick anyone can use to uncover details being concealed.

People who want to hide a sensitive photo, important bank information or maybe a friend's identity on an incriminating text, regularly use the edit tool on screenshots and select a dark highlight pen.

But in the clip, which has now gained 360,800 likes, the bloke shows how to use the video editing tools to fade the effect to see what it hides.
