Star Wars is once again returning to Fortnite as the popular multiplayer game marks May the 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, with virtual celebrations.
Players will be able to get their hands on lightsabers from iconic characters including Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan.
They'll also get the chance to pick up the E-11 Blaster Rifle, which can once again be used to battle AI-controlled Stormtroopers at various checkpoints across the island.
There will even be Star Wars Quests featuring 'landspeeder' vehicles as well as the return of iconic Star Wars outfits which previously featured in the game.
Announcing the news on its official blog, Epic Games said the outfits that can be unlocked will include characters such as:
- Imperial Stormtrooper
- Kylo Ren
- Zorii Bliss
- Finn
- Rey
- Sith Trooper
- Boba Fett
- Fennec Shand
- Krrsantan
The Star Wars goodies and in-game unlocks will thankfully be available for much longer than just the day, as the promotion is set to run until May 17th. Players will have until then to get their hands on the new items as part of Fortnite Season 2.

This isn't the first time Star Wars has made an appearance in the popular battle royale game.
Star Wars took over Fortnite in 2019 to promote Star Wars Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker, with in-game events and map changes being introduced as part of a big-budget tie-in.
Fortnite is increasingly home to movie and product tie-ins. Spider-Man featured prominently in the game in the lead-up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home last year. Celebrities and musicians are increasingly appearing in the game as well, most recently as part of Coachella 2022.
