If you have been waiting for Android 14 to hit your Samsung Galaxy phone, it looks like there is finally some clarity on exactly when that will be. Though the latest big Samsung Android update – called One UI 6 – has already started rolling out to the Galaxy S23 series, it has been a little unclear when older Samsung smartphones would be getting the eagerly anticipated release.
As spotted by Sammobile, a Samsung community manager on Samsung’s official forum posted a roadmap of One UI 6’s rollout, with full dates and details on when devices should be sent the over-the-air upgrade. It looks as though the post has since been removed from the forum though, so take these dates with a pinch of salt – though Samsung might just not have wanted the accurate information public yet.
It was also Samsung’s Romanian forum, and it’s unclear if these dates only apply to Romania, or if Europe and the rest of the world will get in on the scheduled update action. We hope it’s the latter given popular phones such as the Galaxy A34 and A54 are slated to get Android 14 in the next few weeks, and it looks as though all compatible Galaxy phones will get One UI 6 before the end of 2023:

The extensive list shows the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 should be getting Android 14 any day now, while the updates pleasingly stretch back to the S21 phones, as well as to budget blowers such as the Galaxy A04s, which should get the newest flavour of Android before Christmas.

Samsung generally promises four years of Android updates and five years of security updates for all its new smartphones. This was industry-best for Android phones until recently Google said it would support its new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro for seven years.
