Emmerdale fans were forced to say goodbye to two beloved residents last week as the 50th anniversary week culminated in the death of Harriet Finch (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele). However, as the aftermath of the storm becomes apparent will the village be able to come together and rebuild? 

Chas Dingle forces Aaron to leave village after ultimatum backfires

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) fears Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) will tell everyone about her affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

When Aaron accuses his mother of still seeing Al despite her promises, she denies it. 

In a cruel move, Chas convinces her son to leave Emmerdale for good but her lack of response to the news concerns Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

Meanwhile, Al tries to slow down Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) wedding aspirations.

Bob Hope clashes with Bernice Blackstock over storm fallout

The true destruction caused by the storm is realised this week. 

Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) wastes no time in organising a group to deal with the damage. 

However, her deputy Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) quickly grows resentful towards Bernice. 

Will they be able to put aside their differences and focus on the task at hand?

Chloe Harris exits soap as pregnancy secret exposed

Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) struggles to cope with her secret as Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) fears his indiscretion will come to light.

Kerry is frustrated by Chloe’s behaviour unaware she’s pregnant with Mackenzie’s baby. 

The mum-to-be decides it’s best for her to leave the village as Kerry desperately tries to get her to stay. 

However, when Chloe finally reveals the truth about her pregnancy, Kerry is floored.

David Metcalfe saves the village with a new business idea 

David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) returns to the village after the storm.

Bernice reminds him he must start attracting customers again if he’s going to save his business. 

David worries it’s too late but Bernice comes up with an idea to save the shop and the village. 

Will the businessman be able to help the village come together?

Meanwhile, Emmerdale residents were left on a devastating cliffhanger last week.

Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) was nowhere to be found as his father Sam Dingle (James Hooton) recovered in hospital.

Viewers watched as Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) searched for him while a cutaway revealed he had been buried in the forest.

Will Samson be found in time or will he become the third victim of the storm?

Emmerdale airs on ITV on weekdays at 7pm.
