APITS: Guests left disappointed after sellers increase the price
A Place in the Sun presenter Craig Rowe was forced to apologise to his guests Maria and Paul after the price of their dream property was upped significantly.
Maria and Paul fell in love with the third holiday home they were shown which was a Finca in Cómpeta.
The property had an impressive pool area with incredible views and there were also a number of different terrace and garden areas.
The large living, dining and kitchen space was bright and breezy, with the stairs leading up to the main bedroom and its en-suite bathroom.
There was also a nice living room space, leading to the second and third bedrooms as well as a shower room.

Maria and Paul had an initial budget of £270,000, but when they found out the Finca was priced at £303,571, they were willing to stretch the budget.
However, after spending the evening discussing their options and deciding to go ahead with offering £295,000 for the place, Craig received some devastating news.
Answering the phone, Craig expressed: “Hello Denise, thank you for calling me back. Yes, this is quite a shock to hear.
“Obviously that is hugely disappointing because we were led to believe that the originally asking price we were told would be honoured.

“I will pass this on to Maria and Paul, and I will call you back if there is an update Denise, I am hugely disappointed.”
Explaining to Maria and Paul what had happened, Craig apologised: “So as you might have guessed it is not good news.
“It now turns out that the vendors have already decided they want more for it. They have come back with a counteroffer of just over £339,000.
“You heard my disappointment and had I known the case I wouldn’t have taken you there in the first place. I can go back with a counter offer whatever that may be.”
However, Paul realised what had happened and replied: “I think they know what they want for it now Craig, we are not going to get that Finca.”
Maria added: “They got our hopes up with that Finca because we were willing to pay the asking price.”
As the episode ended, Craig revealed that a few weeks later the couple got in contact with the sellers of the Finca and were working out a new price, being just weeks away from completion.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays from 4pm on Channel 4.
