This Morning: Alan Carr apologises after being ‘sick’ behind sofa
Alan Carr has taken a very cheeky swipe at Phillip Schofield while filming his Christmas TV special in London.
ITV was thrown into chaos earlier this year following the former This Morning presenter’s admission to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger colleague, with the host later stepping down from ITV altogether.
Chatty Man Alan, 47, took the opportunity to reference Schofield’s scandal during the filming of his show by dropping a bold dig.
While recording a Christmas special, Carr asked the audience before cameras rolled: “Oh, Hackney, why did I say I’d film this in the middle of a f***ing heatwave?”
He then added: “I am sweating up here like Phillip Schofield’s lawyer, honestly”, The Mirror reports.

The funnyman, whose TV show Alan Carr: Chatty Man ran for seven years, then removed all references to Schofield from filming for the Channel 4 special last Sunday.
Last year, Carr affectionately referenced Schofield at every gig during his Regional Trinket tour.
Carr has been friends with the 61-year-old presenter since 2015 when he appeared on an episode of This Morning together.
During the ITV show, Schofield was armed not only with tequila but also with the dreaded worm that resides at the bottom of the bottle and challenged the comedian to a drinking contest.
Carr was apparently so drunk he forgot the name of his own TV show.

Three years later they reunited on Chatty Man where the tequila made another appearance, with Carr ending up so hungover from his night out with Schofield, that he fell into Hyde Park’s Serpentine while walking his dogs.
But in May, Schofield stepped down from presenting This Morning after 21 years on the famous sofa.
Carr has also had his problems and has told how he had been drowning his sorrows with rosé following his break-up from ex-husband Paul Drayton after 13 years.
He said: “I’ve had a s*** year and I have drank a lot of rosé in the last 12 months.”
The comic added: “I’ve had a few weekends having rosé after rosé. You are so t***ted watching 12 episodes of Homes Under the Hammer you leave the heating on all night.”
