The presenter and comedian, whose real name is Jim Moir, will be making his debut on All Creatures Great and Small in this week’s episode on Thursday. The 63-year-old will be starring alongside Nicholas Ralph in the popular Channel 5 programme based on the life of well-known vet James Wight.

Channel 5 has announced that the comedian will be making an appearance in the iconic and BAFTA-winning show.

His character Jeff, the local Darrowby knacker yard owner, will be involved when an influential Dales farmer Isaac Cranford leans on James (played by Nicholas Ralph) to fiddle the paperwork over a dead cow so he can reap the financial benefit.

Fans will likely be delighted to hear about the special cameo, and it seems Vic isn’t the only person eyeing up a role on the show.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk recently, The Yorkshire Vet star Peter Wright expressed an interest in appearing on the show.

Talking about a possible guest appearance on the series that reflects his early career experiences, Peter beamed: “I’d love to do that.

“I would absolutely love that. So if someone could put in a word it would be much appreciated!”

Reminiscing about the James he knew, he admitted: “He didn’t see himself as this famous icon, he saw his job as 90 percent researcher and five percent author.

“And I think he’d be quite bemused by the way it’s [the series] taken off again for the second time.”

The new episodes have seen James clashing with Siegfriend Farnon (played by Sam West) over tuberculosis testing.

Meanwhile, the chemistry between vet Tristan Farnon (Callum Woodhouse) and Florence (Sophie Khan Levy) started to grow and it appears romance may blossom between the pair. 

Fans are already loving the new instalments of the comforting series.

Many have taken to social media to applaud the drama, with Twitter user @mmjspelman writing: “I love having @AllCreaturesTV back!!

“It’s like a warm blanket! Such a lovely cast! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Burnsall. Hopefully I’ll get back there again! #ACGAS.”
