Jeremy Vine viewers roast guest for embarrassing live blunder – raging 'he's telling porkies' | The Sun

JEREMY Vine viewers have roasted a guest for an embarrassing live blunder – raging "he's telling porkies".

Today's show saw Jeremy and his panel discuss a range of topics including the Pound being in crisis and the new tax cuts.

One of the guests, broadcaster Mike Parry, wasn't afraid to make his feelings known, and during a discussion about the rush to deposit paper notes, he said he had a wad of old £50s in a lunch box "for a rainy day".

However, viewers soon picked up on the fact Mike said he had £740 worth and that he had forgotten all about the money.

One tweeted: "Says it all really. Mike Parry has a box of old £50 notes, he'd put away for a rainy day & forgotten about! Most people have a box of coins stashed away."

A second added: "Mike Parry says he has old £50 notes tuck away. £740 worth ?? Does Mike not know how to add up."

Last week, viewers took to social media to slam former MP Ann Widdecombe and accused her of "talking rubbish".

One of the topics on the show was the debate around the legalisation of drugs and alcohol, the rising cost of bills and the current winter plan for the NHS.

Taking to social media to disagree with Widdecombe, one viewer said: "Ann W talks rubbish. I visit Portugal regularly, where soft drugs have been legal for years, and drug related crime is virtually non-existent."

Another asked: "Why is Widdecombe still on TV?"
