Emmerdale fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the soap on ITV as Will Taylor prepares to marry Kim Tate (played by Claire King). Wedding day disaster could be on the cards for the couple after Will came face to face with his former flame. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about actor Dean’s family life off-screen.

Does Dean Andrews have children?

Emmerdale viewers are keen to see whether Kim and Will’s wedding ends in tears as the bride confronts his ex, Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).

With a potential showdown on the cards, there could be an explosive moment for Will as the soap nears its 50th anniversary celebrations.

Will is due to inform Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) there may not be a wedding at all as he needs to settle his differences with Kim.

Yet Kim is not having any of it and she decides to take matters into her own hands, leaving Will feeling helpless.

The storyline has left fans wanting to find out more about actor Dean and his life off-screen.

Dean, 59, is engaged to his partner Helen Bowen-Green who has supported him in his belated acting career.

He only started acting in 2002, when he had a guest role in EastEnders, but went on to play DS Ray Carling in the BBC drama Life on Mars.

Dean has two daughters, Sharny, and Alice, who are both now in their 30s.

He recently became a grandfather as his daughter Alice Coburn gave birth to a baby girl called Ida-Rae.

Dean is on Instagram and he posts regularly about his children and grandchildren.

He shared a snap of his granddaughter clutching a Louis Vuitton bag, saying: “My fav photo from yesterday’s outing with Ida-Rae.

“Me thinks Nannie @hbg_indiarose has lost her Louis forever #granddaughter #beautifulgirl.”

In another post, he admitted he wished he had more time to spend with Ida-Rae.

He said: “The face of an angel. Deano is once again missing out on seeing this beautiful face due to work.

“Some time off is on the horizon and I won’t miss a minute when given the chance. She’s being very well looked after by Nannie @hbg_indiarose.”
