America’s Got Talent: Heather and Bogart showcase ‘inspiring talents’

Viewers of America’s Got Talent were left in tears as a rescue dog called Bogart took to the stage.

Bogart and his owner Heather, 30, are a dog act from Pennsylvania, and their touching story tugged at fan’s heartstrings.

The Pitbull mix was adopted by Heather and her partner after no one rescued him from a the animal shelter they volunteered at.

Admitting that he was a bit of a handful at first she recalled sending him to obedience training classes, in which he excelled, and he was settling in well to his new home.

However, one day, Heather found a lump on his leg which turned out to be cancer. They decided to amputate his back left leg, eliminating the cancer and saving his life.

When they first came out on the stage he walked through Heather’s legs.

He then began to navigate a course that was set up on the stage which included jumping through hoops, tubes, and running through poles.

At the end of the performance the duo received a standing ovation and the judges loved with Sofia Vergara describing it as “heartwarming” and “inspiring.”

Heidi Klum commented on the fact that he could do everything a four-legged dog could. They got four enthusiastic yeses, meaning they go through to the next round.

Fans were very emotional watching the clip and they took to the comments on the show’s YouTube page to discuss their feelings.

A viewer called @sandrina_paula write: “Brought tears when watching even before the show started. Hats off to the generous couples for giving Bogart a forever home and being patience with this baby,” said one fan.

@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj wished them well in the contest saying “What a sweet and brave dog. He is truly a fighter. Hope they go far in this competition.” @baalah7 chimed in: “Bogart literally brought tears. Heather & Partner are such a Blessing.”
