Lou Sanders has become the eighth celebrity to be confirmed for the 2024 series of Dancing On Ice.

The comedian and actress confirmed the news on Radio Five Live, where she shared her excitement at getting on the ice.

She told host Nihal Arthanayake: "I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head.

"I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells. I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave."

Lou is best known for starring in hit show's such as Elderflower and Taskmaster.

The 37 year old joins World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, Corrie actress Claire Sweeney, S Club singer Hannah Spearritt, West End and Love Island star Amber Davies, Olympic Champion and presenter Greg Rutherford MBE, Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire and Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb in the line-up.

Lou is the third celebrity to be confirmed today, Tuesday 3 October, following the news that Stephen Lustig-Webb and Miles Nazaire have also signed up to the show.

Made In Chelsea hunk Miles Nazaire was announced this morning as he confirmed the exciting career move on his social media.

The 27 year old told his followers: "I’ve always loved to dance, but it’s usually on a dance floor on a Saturday night, and Dancing on Ice looks so difficult.

"I keep thinking about how I’m going to need to have rhythm while balancing on a thin blade, and that's when I feel the nerves kick in, but this is such an unbelievable opportunity to get totally out of my comfort zone."

Later on ITV's Lorraine, it was announced that Gogglebox legend Stephen Lustig-Webb, 52, is taking part in the show.

He told Lorraine Kelly: "The last time I was on the ice, I think I was 14, so almost 40 years ago.

"I have been back on the ice since just for a quick spin around, I didn't fall over, so that was a good thing! I’ve got a new appreciation for skating.

"I can see how truly difficult it is. From the comfort of my sofa, I was probably a little too judgy. I didn’t realise how hard it is!"

During his chat with Lorraine, Stephen also revealed that he is having his masterclass with skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean next week.

That means that the cast of 12 will be kicking off their training on the ice next week ahead of the series, which normally kicks off in January.

The show will look different this year, as normal host Phillip Schofield will not be presenting it this year after his departure from ITV earlier this year.

However, it is expected that his co-host Holly Willoughby will return, but who will be alongside her is yet to be confirmed.
