Barbara Windsor's widower enjoys loving date night with EastEnders girlfriend

Scott Mitchell, widower to EastEnders star Barbara Windsor, has been pictured enjoying a date night with his new partner Tanya Franks.

Scott and Tanya’s relationship was confirmed back in July of this year. It comes three years after Barbara’s death, which happened in 2020 following a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease in 2014.

Since Barbara’s death, Scott has gone on to raise awareness for the disease and often speaks about his life married to the Peggy Mitchell and Carry On star, even revealing how singing legend Amy Winehouse would often visit their home and chat to Barbara.

Tanya, 55, is best known for playing Rainie Cross in the BBC One soap and spent time with Scott, 60, a few weeks ago on holiday in Greece.

Scott told The Sun at the time: ‘Life feels really good right now and we are enjoying some special time together’.

A source close to Barbara’s friends and family added to the publication that they’re happy Scott has found love again.

The couple were then pictured out after making the decision to move in together and now, it looks as though love is most definitely in the air as Scott and Tanya have been seen having a wonderful time on a date night.

They were spotted at the same restaurant Barbara and Scott would often visit, with Scott placing his arm around Tanya just before they headed home.

Tanya and Scott were co-ordinating in their looks by both wearing black outfits, with Tanya choosing to add a pop of colour with her red bag and orange shoes.

The EastEnders actress left her role as Rainie last year after she reunited with husband Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) and decided to start a new life elsewhere with their son, Roland, who is Bernie’s (Clair Norris) biological child.
