    BBC Breakfast fans were left scratching their heads when they tuned in to their daily dose of the BBC show and realised Victoria Fritz had changed her name.

    The presenter returned to the red sofa on Wednesday (October 26) morning, replacing Sally Nugent for the third day running and joining regular host Jon Kay who was back in the studio following a stint outside 10 Downing Street.

    But merely seconds into the programme, viewers picked up on the fact Victoria, 38, introduced herself as Victoria Valentine as opposed to Fritz.

    This prompted several viewers to take to social media to question why she was using a different name.

    Tagging the presenter in a tweet, one wrote: "morning Victoria, how come the name has changed? Was confused when you just introduced yourself on the red couch."

    "Anyone surprised by Victoria Fritz name change? What's that about? #BBCBreakfast," added a second as someone replied: "I noticed that, how strange?"

    Speculating about the reason behind the change, another penned: "Hi Victoria, I noticed on BBC Breakfast, that called yourself Victoria Valentine, and your twitter says the same. Have you sadly got divorced and decided to use your maiden name? Sending you much love xxx."
