BBC Breakfast hosts were left red-faced after a confession from a sports reporter led to a joke that was met with radio silence.
Mike Bushell was covering a story regarding the success of the British women's gymnastics team in the discipline of trampolining and tumbling. The report covered how the team had won a slew of awards during the competition, which was being held in Birmingham.
At the end of the segment, host Naga Munchetty took a sly swipe at Mike, jibing with her co-star: "I reckon you should give that a go!" Mike chuckled, before admitting that he already had some experience in the profession.

Bushell, 57, admitted that he had already learned a bit of gymnastics together with Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones in 2019. This was due to Steve competing in the hit BBC dancing competition, where he became the seventh contestant to be eliminated.
"I struggle with a forward roll – genuinely I do struggle," Bushell said. "I can do a bit of a cartwheel, but forward rolls are hard for me."
Mike also confessed that Jones had tried to help him improve his chances of doing the tucks. The plan for the pair was so that they could do a forward roll during one of their performances to wow the judges.
"Katya tried to get me to do them on Strictly," Bushell continued. "Together – it was just never going to happen." However, Mike's teasing was not over just yet, as co-host Charlie Stayt also got involved in the fun.
Stayt joked: "I think that between now and next Saturday, you could probably perfect it, couldn't you?" He continued as he smirked to his co-presenter: "We could see it then!"

Mike took the joke on the chin, as he responded: "I'll give it a go – I'll need some cushions, some big cushions. On the sofa, maybe." The remark brought Mike's segment to an end as Naga and Charlie turned their attention to the weather segment, hosted by Helen Willetts.
Charlie brought Helen on to the festivities by asking: "Something to look forward to Helen, can you imagine that? Realistically, Mike doing a gymnastics routine – we like that idea, don't we?"
But after a one-second delay, Helen would offer her thoughts on her co-presenters potential career move. Her comments, however, would fall on deaf ears as she remarked: "We do, but please don't injure yourself, Mike," followed by three full seconds of silence.
As Helen waited for her co-presenters to respond to her concerns, she soon realised that the pair would not be quipping back. As a result, an embarrassed Helen grimaced through her teeth as she began her weather report: "Anyway."
