BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay mocks co-star after embarrassing blunder live on air | The Sun

BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay mocked his co-star this morning after they suffered an embarrassing blunder live on air.

On Wednesday's edition, Matt Taylor and John Watson joined Jon Kay and Sally Nugent.

Following his report, sports presenter John Watson said to Jon and co-host Sally Nugent:"Thank you, John, It must be nice to get through a sports bulletin without Matt interfering."

Chuckling, John added: "I'm missing my mate this morning."

Jon then brought up the weather, which a red-faced Matt had picked up on.

"Yeah, I'm safely in my box this morning, far away from John," he added, little embarrassed.

Jon was referring to an episode from Tuesday in which Matt was overly enthusiastic about being on camera.

Fan favourite Carol Kirkwood, who fronts the weather bulletins, was missing.

Instead BBC weatherman Matt Taylor stood in to bring viewers the latest forecast.

During the show John Watson joined Sally and Ben on the sofa to run through the latest sports news, including tonight's Newcastle Premier League game against Milan.

However, things didn't go according to plan.

Matt appeared behind the journalist as he was up next to present the forecast on the big screen.

After spotting him on a monitor, John joked: "I think Matt's going to be enjoying it as well, he looks eager, doesn't he?"

Ben and Sally then erupted into laughter before she quipped; "It's alright Matt, nobody noticed."
