BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent rolls eyes at Jon Kay as joke seriously backfires – and he's forced to apologise | The Sun

BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent rolled her eyes at Jon Kay after ajoke seriously backfired – and he was forced to apologise.

The journalists were back on the BBC Breakfast sofa today and covered a wide range of topics as usual.

At one point, Jon, 53, updated viewers on how they could get in touch with the programme to share their views.

He said: "You can use our new WhatsApp number… the number is on your screen.

"Or just flick open the camera on your phone, don't take a wildlife picture but just scan that QR code.

"And it will take you through to automatically start a conversation with us."

Sally, 51, added: "And of course, you can still get in touch by email and Twitter as well."

Jon replied: "Twitter-Twoo" prompting Sally to roll her eyes and say: "He's done it again, everyone."

With a sheepish smile, Jon said "sorry" before the pair carried on with the show.

On yesterday's show, it was Sally who ended up apologising after making a blunder.

A couple of hours into the show, Sally seemed to forget what day of the week it was.

She said: "Good morning it is Mon, Sorry, Tuesday the 14th of March."

She smiled halfway through as she realised her mistake but styled it out, ever the professional.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
