BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent branded Olly Murs a “groomzilla” during the show as he opened up about his relationship troubles in the lead up to his wedding.

During Tuesday’s visit to the BBC studios, the 52-year-old broadcaster and her co-host Jon Kay welcomed viewers back to the show where they discussed the latest headlines in the news.

But the early morning show derailed slightly after the presenting duo welcomed the Marry Me singer onto the show to discuss the launch of his new album.

As he sat down to talk about his new music, the blond hunk confessed that he has frequent arguments with his fiancée Amelia Tank ahead of their nuptials set to take place next summer.

The 38-year-old singer confessed that the loved-up couple have never fought so much in the three years they have been together.

He told viewers: “Me and Amelia, we’ve been together for three and a half years and we have a little spat but since we’ve got engaged and started planning the wedding, we’ve been having more little arguments, do you know what I mean?

“Like, ‘You haven’t told me about these things, you haven’t approved this yet, you haven’t given me an answer on this yet’.”

It was at this point that Sally branded him a “groomzilla” as she pointed out that little things about the colour of the napkins don’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

He argued back: “See I didn’t think I cared about that stuff but I do, it’s weird, isn’t it? Like, ‘No actually, I don’t want them to be that colour’.

“But saying that, jokes aside we are really enjoying the process, it’s really great fun and we’re really excited for it next summer.”

It comes after Olly responded to backlash on one of his songs on his new album, titled I Hate You When You're drunk.

He explained that the song was simply made in jest after finding himself becoming annoyed at his friends and family after enjoying an alcoholic beverage following his year of sobriety.
